At first it was overlooked as just a corroded clump of junk. As it fell apart, however, someone noticed it was actually oh by the way maybe the world’s first analog computer, and that it was used for astronomical calculation.

And oh yeah, it was built about 100 years before Jesus showed up.

Proving once and for all that Jesus was a Terminator sent to give humanity a big thumbs-up as he sank into the lava on Easter morning.

Held a presentation on this beauty last year. It’s currently in Athens in the National Museum (I think), together with a modern replica. Also, some guy built a working replica out of Lego. Incredibly fascinating stuff!
